Canoe trip
So this is the first canoe adventure we took in a bayou off the side of the interstate. It was probably a mile long. There was all kinds of wading birds and a few gators but we could never get close enough to the birds for me to get a good picture. I guess I’ll just have to buy a better camera, or….where’s Walter. You can see the storm moving in on us in some of the pictures.

So this is after the storm had ended our first trip and we were headed home and decided to put in under one of the overpasses. Who would have known that there would be such beauty next to an interstate. These are a bunch of cypress trees that formed a ceiling over head with huge branches. This is also were we saw a HUGE gator do some sort of death role and made a massive splash. Good thing he didn’t have my leg when he did that. Whooo danger, danger, danger.

you get a picture, but not one with your let in
his mouth….
